Série Plaquetária

Normal Platelets, Normal EDTA anticoagulated blood

Normal Platelets scattered throughout the field. Note one within the halo (biconcave) area of a red cell at top right. The normal average number of platelets in a proper field ranges from 8 to 15. In EDTA anticoagulated samples they are more evenly distributed, are usually rounded up and may be slightly swollen and/or slightly degranulated. One segmented neutrophil. Normocytic, normochromic RBC. Normal EDTA anticoagulated blood - 100X.

Megathrombocytes, agranular platelet, AML capillary blood

1 large granular lymphocyte, 2 Megathrombocytes, 1 agranular large platelet and 1 normal platelet. Acute Megakaryocytic Leukemia (M-7). Capillary blood - 100X

Clumps of Platelets, Thrombocytosis, Capillary blood

One large and two small Clumps of Platelets. They are normal, small fragments. Thrombocytosis. Capillary blood - 100X

Bare megakaryocyte nuclei, thrombocytosis

Bare megakaryocyte lobulated nuclei. Reactive thrombocytosis blood - 100X
